I took a stained glass intro class recently!
As you see, it’s a jumbled mess of tools. Spot the nails flung around, papers crumpled together, hidden hammers under those papers. But I’m also not mad about it. You might be the same, but because of this last year, I’m allowing myself a lot of grace.
You don’t have to be the tidiest. Or have it all together. Or put things where they belong…like my dishes in the sink at the end of tonight. Sometimes getting up and doing something is all that matters.
Personally, I’ve wanted to try stained glass for a really, really long time. Something about those flickering windows makes me stare and sigh. So when I stumbled on a class in my area, I jumped at the chance. No regrets. Only a cut here and there, but no bandaids needed! Plus, I got to produce this —

Not bad, right?
I’m in love with a leaf.
If you want to learn more about the process around making something like this, here is a great video on YouTube about it.
